Background and Goals
FreightCore was founded in August 2022 by Sam, a logistics expert and international trader, and Will, a technology leader.
As a long-time customer of freight forwarders, Sam has seen the industry’s inefficiencies first hand. Waiting days for quotes, suffering delays from human errors, and inconsistent communication. So the two set out to build FreightCore, a small yet powerful forwarder, and, in the process, develop, build a technology that could change the industry.
As a new company with a small team, FreightCore aimed for operational efficiency.
Building revenue and scaling without increasing operational headcount.
Challenges
- Manual Quoting and Lengthy Turnaround Times: Waiting multiple days for quotes was time-consuming and frustrating
- High Data Entry Workload and Risk of Human Error: With complex shipment requirements, manual data entry introduced a high potential for mistakes. This could result in misfiled documents, delayed shipments, or missed data – all impacting customer experience.
- Capacity Limitations: Growing demand meant constantly scaling up the team and limiting profitability. FreightCore was looking for a way to serve more customers with the same headcount.
- Maintaining Customer Satisfaction and Competitive Edge: As a newcomer in a competitive industry, FreightCore identified rapid and accurate communication as their key to building customer loyalty.
Solution
To address these challenges, FreightCore started developing what would later become FreightSuite.

Real-time quoting eliminated the traditional 1-3 day wait for Full Container Load quotes. This allowed FreightCore to respond immediately to quote requests. Enhancing both customer satisfaction and close rates. It also reduced labour costs by freeing operators to perform other tasks. - AI-Driven Data Extraction
FreightSuite’s AI capabilities automated the extraction of documents and data from emails, saving countless hours on data entry and reducing the risk of human error. This feature automatically categorises documents, assigns them to bookings, and organises data into a seamless workflow, significantly increasing Freightcore’s productivity and accuracy. - Improved Customer Experience
FreightSuite’s end-customer dashboard enabled FreightCore customers more independence, built trust and created long-term relationships. Clients received faster responses and experienced fewer errors, giving FreightCore a competitive edge.
Results
FreightCore saw impressive growth and productivity gains soon after integrating FreightSuite:
- 5x Revenue Growth: Within six months, FreightCore’s revenue had quintupled, largely due to the efficiencies gained through FreightSuite.
- Increased ARR: Since February 2024, FreightCore’s Annual Recurring Revenue has grown by £1 million each month, driven by increased shipment volume and streamlined operations.
- 10x More Customers: With FreightSuite’s streamlined processes, the customer dashboard and the rapid quoting capabilities, FreightCore expanded its customer base tenfold, attracting clients who valued speed, reliability, and transparent communication.
- Improved Productivity and Profit Margins: With FreightSuite handling routine tasks, FreightCore’s 2 operators were able to manage significantly higher volumes, achieving a level of productivity previously requiring a much larger team.
